Two things, not three
Almost everything you do in LambdaAssetCheck runs on two ideas. You build a template once, and your team runs inspections against it many times.
That is the whole model: one template, many inspections.
Exporting an inspection as a PDF is something you do with a finished inspection, not a third kind of thing to set up. To see patterns across many inspections rather than one at a time, use Analytics.
Templates
A template is the form itself — the questions your team answers in the field, and the rules around them.
You build it once in the template editor, using sections, questions, response types, conditional logic, and scoring. A template moves through Draft, then Published when it is ready to be used, and later Archived or Obsolete when it is retired.
Only a published template can be used for an inspection. A draft is yours to work on; nobody can inspect against it until you publish.
Inspections
An inspection is one completed run of a template — one forklift checked on one day by one person.
It records who did it, when, the answers they gave, and any photos they attached. It carries a status of In progress, Completed, or Cancelled, so unfinished work is never mistaken for a result.
Every inspection is anchored to something real: an asset for an asset inspection, or a site for an audit. That anchor is what lets you ask later how a particular forklift or a particular depot has been performing.
Once an inspection is complete you can open or download it as a PDF — useful for someone who does not use LambdaAssetCheck, or for an auditor.
Where audits and incidents fit
Two things sit alongside inspections and are easy to confuse with them:

Audits and asset inspections are governed by separate permissions, so your role may allow one, the other, or both.
