What are rounds?

Learn how rounds work in LambdaAssetCheck, so your team can walk a fixed route of assets on a repeating schedule and finish each pass within its window.

What you'll need

Tier	Professional. Rounds is licensed as Inspection rounds.

Permission	route.define to create routes. rounds.define to create rounds and open compliance. To conduct: round execution access plus membership of the assigned group — people with rounds.define can also conduct.

An administrator must switch the module on for your organisation. Each site used for rounds needs its timezone set. You also need assets at that site and a published template for each stop.

How rounds fit together

	What it is
Route	An ordered list of asset stops at a site.
Round	The recurring rule that runs a route for a group within a daily window.
Round instance	One occurrence that a team member claims and completes stop by stop.

Define a route

Go to Round configuration → Define routes (page title Inspection routes).
Select Create route.
Enter a Name and, optionally, a Code.
Choose the Site (and location, if used).
Add stops in order — each stop is an asset — then save.

The list shows Name, Code, Site, Location, Stops, Schedules, and Status (Active or Inactive). The only row action is Edit.

Define a round

Go to Round configuration → Define round and select a route.
Enter a Round name.
Under Inspection templates for this round, choose the published template for each asset on the route.
Choose the Assigned group.
Set Frequency (DAILY, WEEKLY, or MONTHLY), Interval, Start date, and optionally an End date.
Set Window start and Window end in the site's timezone.
Optionally set Claim lead time (minutes) and Completion grace with a Grace unit (Hours or Days).
Add a Description if needed, then select Publish round.

Conduct a round

Go to Round configuration → Conduct rounds and use Previous day / Today / Next day. You see your own group's rounds; All rounds appears only for people with rounds.define.

Open a round due for the day.
Claim it.
Complete the stops in order. If a stop cannot be done, skip it — a reason is optional but worth adding.

There is no Finish button. The round closes itself once every stop is completed or skipped.

Round statuses

Status	Meaning
Pending	Generated and waiting to be claimed.
Claimed	A team member has taken the round.
In progress	Stops are being completed.
Completed	Every stop completed, on time or late. A late finish is still Completed, and is counted separately as completed late.
Partial	Every stop closed out, but at least one was skipped.
Missed	The deadline passed with stops still unfinished.

Track round compliance

From Define round, select Compliance — it needs rounds.define. Choose Last 7 / 30 / 90 days for five figures — Scheduled, Completed, On time, Completed late, and Missed (open) — plus a By day breakdown and an Action items table.

Missed (open) counts only rounds that are still not done. A round finished after its deadline moves out of it and is reported as completed late.

Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between a round and a schedule?

A schedule recurs one inspection against a single asset, asset type, or site. A round walks an ordered route of several asset stops in one pass.

Who can complete a round?

Any member of the group the round is assigned to, with round execution access. People with rounds.define can conduct one too. A manager can also assign a single occurrence to one person, which stops other group members from claiming it.

Why does a round show "Site timezone not set"?

The route's site has no timezone. Set it so windows and deadlines calculate correctly.

Why don't I see Round configuration?

Rounds needs the Professional feature and an administrator to enable it.
