Open or download an inspection PDF
Learn how to open or save the report for one inspection, so you can share the result with a manager, client, or auditor.

What an inspection PDF is
An inspection PDF is a read-only output of one inspection. The layout is fixed. The organisation logo is the brand logo from Organisation settings.
There is no report-layout editor. For trends across many inspections, use Analytics.
Open or download a PDF
- Go to Inspections.
- Open the inspection you want to review.
- Select Download PDF.
On a computer, the report opens in a new tab and the print dialog opens with it. Choose Save as PDF, and set margins to None.
On a phone, LambdaAssetCheck tries to save a PDF file. If that file cannot be built, a print view opens instead. Use Print / Save as PDF, then Close.
What's included
Sections that do not apply are left out. A contents list appears when the template has sections.

When you're offline
Download PDF builds a file from the inspection page already on the device. Photos that have not synced yet may be missing.
If that download fails, use the browser's Print → Save as PDF. The server report is not available offline.
When you are back online, open the inspection and download again.
Frequently asked questions
Can I edit an inspection PDF?
No. The PDF is an output of the inspection record, not a separate document.
Can I export several inspections at once?
No. Download one inspection at a time. Use Analytics for trends across many records.
Why does a print view open instead of a file download?
On a computer, Download PDF opens the print dialog on purpose. On a phone, the print view appears when a file cannot be saved. Use Print / Save as PDF. Close returns you to the inspection.
