Find and review inspections

Every inspection your organization has run is kept — in progress, completed, and cancelled. This page covers finding the one you want and reading what it recorded.
Who can do this: anyone with inspection read access. What you see depends on your role and sites. Where: Inspections.
The inspections list
Go to Inspections. Two tabs sit at the top:
- All — every inspection you're allowed to see
- My Inspections — only the ones you conducted
The list shows Inspection #, Template, Asset, Inspector, Context, Status, Started, Completed, and actions.
Status is one of IN_PROGRESS, COMPLETED, or CANCELLED. In-progress inspections offer Continue; completed ones offer View Details.
Search and narrow the list
- Search matches across the table — inspection number, template, asset, inspector.
- Context filters to Round (part of an inspection round) or Standalone.
- Sort by selecting a column header.
- Page size and paging controls sit at the foot of the list, and the summary tells you which records you're looking at out of the total.
- Include offline inspections brings in inspections still held on this device.
There are no separate status, date, or inspector dropdowns — sort the column you care about and search for the rest.
Offline and sync badges
An inspection captured in the field carries a badge until it reaches the server:

| Offline | Held on this device, not yet sent |
| Pending Sync / Syncing | Queued or in flight; syncs automatically when online |
| Sync Failed | Retried and failed — the record is still safe on the device |
Sync Failed shows the attempt count and the time of the last try. See Working offline.
Open an inspection
The inspection page shows what was captured:
- Header — status, inspection number, template and version, asset type
- Summary — questions answered, photos, notes, sections, and score if the template is scored
- Details — inspector, asset, dates, and duration
- Inspection history table — every question with its answer, image, note, and points

An asset's own history
To see everything done to one piece of equipment, open the asset instead: Assets → Manage Assets → the asset. Its Overview tab lists the inspections conducted on it, alongside its meters, readings, and schedules. See Manage your assets.
Getting the data out
There is no bulk export from the inspections list. Two routes exist:
- One inspection — open it and Download PDF. See Inspection reports.
- Many inspections, as data — use Analytics, which is built for aggregating across inspections and exporting dashboards.
Frequently asked questions
Why can't I see an inspection a colleague ran?
Access is scoped by role and site. Site-scoped roles only see inspections for their own sites.
Can I edit a completed inspection?
No. Completed inspections are locked so they remain reliable as a record. Run a new inspection instead.
Can I delete an inspection?
Not from the list. Inspections are retained as evidence — cancelling is the closest equivalent, and it stays visible with status CANCELLED.
What does "Context: Round" mean?
The inspection was conducted as a stop on an inspection round rather than started on its own.
An inspection is stuck at "In progress".
Someone started it and didn't submit. Open it and select Continue to finish, if it's yours.
