Install LambdaAssetCheck on your device

LambdaAssetCheck is a Progressive Web App (PWA) — there's no separate app store download. You add it to your device straight from the browser, and it opens in its own window like any other app. This is the recommended way to use LambdaAssetCheck in the field, where it can scan QR codes, capture photos, and work offline.

Why install the app

Installing gives your team a proper app experience on any device:

  • A home-screen or taskbar icon to open LambdaAssetCheck in one tap.
  • A full-screen window without browser toolbars.
  • Access to the camera and QR scanner for field inspections.
  • Offline mode — conduct inspections without connectivity and sync when you reconnect. See Offline mode.

Install on laptop or desktop

Using Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome:

  1. Open your browser and go to your organization's app URL.
  2. Log in with your credentials.
  3. Open the browser menu (the … ellipsis, top-right).
  4. Select More tools, then Pin to taskbar (or Install this site as an app).

The LambdaAssetCheck icon is added to your taskbar so you can launch it like any installed application.

Install on iPhone or iPad

Use Safari (installing to the home screen isn't available in other iOS browsers):

  1. Open Safari and go to your organization's app URL.
  2. Log in with your credentials.
  3. Tap the Share button (the square with an upward arrow).
  4. Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen.
  5. Tap Add. The app icon appears on your home screen.

Install on Android

Use Chrome or your default browser:

  1. Open the browser and go to your organization's app URL.
  2. Log in with your credentials.
  3. Open the browser menu (⋮) or tap the Share button.
  4. Tap Add to Home Screen (or Install app).
  5. Confirm. The app icon appears on your home screen.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to install it from an app store? No. LambdaAssetCheck is a PWA, so you add it directly from the browser. There's nothing to download from the App Store or Google Play.

Will it update automatically? Yes. Because it runs from the web, you always get the latest version — there are no manual app updates to install.

Can I use it without installing? Yes, it works in any modern browser. Installing just adds the icon, full-screen window, and the smoothest offline experience for field work.

How do I use it offline? Install the app, then prepare your device for offline before you lose connectivity. See Offline mode in the mobile app guide.
