Prepare your device for offline use

Save the forms, sites, and recent work for your account onto this device so you can keep working after the signal drops.

What you'll need

Tier	Advanced and Professional

Where	Account menu → My Account → Offline health

Install the icon first if this device is a phone or tablet. See Install the app on a phone or tablet.

You need a working connection for the whole prepare. Prepare for offline stays unavailable while the device is offline.

Prepare the device

Connect to the internet and sign in on the device you will take into the field.
Open the account menu and select My Account.
In Offline health, select Prepare for offline.
Wait until the badge reads Ready for offline.

While it runs, the list moves through Your sites (assets & QR), Inspection forms & recent work, Offline app pages, and Verification.

Expected result: The badge reads Ready for offline. Home, Inspections, Tasks, and Conduct rounds can then open from the same menu with no connection.

If the badge stays Needs preparation, the warning names what is still missing. Rows for saved work and offline pages show Missing until that part succeeds. Select Prepare for offline again before you leave coverage.

What gets saved

Prepare writes a copy onto this device:

Assets and QR details for the sites on your account.
Inspection forms you can access, recent inspections, and tasks you can see.
Assigned rounds, when your plan includes them.
Incident types, so Report Incident can open later.
The offline field pages, so those pages can open with no network.

Counts, the 24-hour site refresh, and jobs that never come offline are in Offline limitations.

Limitations

Sites follow your account. Organisation-wide access prepares every active site. A site-scoped user prepares only their sites. With no sites, asset and QR data is skipped.
Use a normal browser window. A private or InPrivate window does not keep the offline pages.
Run Prepare for offline again when the badge returns to Needs preparation. New assets and site changes are not on the device until you do.
Clearing this site's data in the browser deletes the copy on the device, including work that has not synced.

Frequently asked questions

Who can prepare a device?

Anyone who can sign in on the Advanced or Professional plan. Open My Account and use Offline health. You do not need an administrator role.

Why is Offline health missing?

Offline mode starts at Advanced. A Basic account does not show Offline health or Prepare for offline.

Do I prepare once per organisation, or once per device?

Once per device, in the browser you will use in the field. A second phone needs its own prepare.
