Work through these checks
- Open your organisation's LambdaAssetCheck address. Enter the Email your administrator registered and your Password, then select Sign In.
- If sign-in says the email or password was not accepted, pause. After too many attempts the page tells you to wait.
- That same result also covers an unknown email, a user whose status is Inactive, and an account that has never set a password. The page does not say which. Ask an owner or administrator to confirm the address, and to select Activate from Actions if the status is Inactive.
- When you already have a password, select Forgot password?, enter that email, and select Reset password. The page confirms that instructions were sent whenever recovery might apply. No email is sent for an inactive account, an unverified account, or an account with no password, unless single sign-on is optional for that domain. Steps: Log in to LambdaAssetCheck.
- On Two-step verification, enter the current 6-digit Authentication code, or an unused recovery code, and select Verify. A rejected code usually means the phone clock is off, the code has changed, or the session has expired. Start again from Sign In. After too many codes, wait, then start again. See Set up two-step verification.
- If you have neither the authenticator nor a remaining recovery code, another owner or administrator selects Reset MFA on your user. You cannot reset your own. Then sign in and complete Set up authenticator MFA. See Manage your users.
- If the page says your organisation requires single sign-on, stop here and use Troubleshoot single sign-on. Password checks on this page do not fix that path.
Limitations
- The sign-in page uses one result for a wrong password, an unknown email, an Inactive user, and an unfinished invite.
- Forgot password? confirms that instructions were sent even when no email will arrive.
- LambdaAssetCheck does not ask for an authenticator after single sign-on.
Frequently asked questions
I never received the reset email.
Recovery mail goes only to an active, verified account that already has a password, or to optional single sign-on on that domain. The on-screen confirmation does not mean a message left. Ask an administrator to check the account.
I am asked to set up an authenticator after my password.
On Set up authenticator MFA, scan the code, confirm a 6-digit Authentication code, and save the recovery codes. You cannot skip setup once it is required.
Can I use Forgot password if I have never chosen a password?
Only when single sign-on is optional for your domain. Otherwise the page confirms success and sends nothing. Ask an administrator to reissue the invite.
