Analytics quick start
Last updated: July 2026
Build your first analytics chart in a few minutes. Analytics turns inspections, audits, flags, work, incidents, and schedules into dashboards you can rearrange, share, and drill into.
This guide sits in phase 3 of Get started (Digitize, inspect, and improve). Open it after you have a few completed inspections.
Who can do this: anyone whose role includes access to Analytics. Where: Analytics in the sidebar.
Before you start
| You'll need | Why |
|---|---|
| Analytics access | Your role must allow the Analytics page |
| Some completed inspections or other records | Empty periods produce empty charts |
| A clear question | e.g. “How many inspections finished this month by site?” |
Open Analytics
1. Sign in to LambdaAssetCheck. 2. Select Analytics in the sidebar. 3. Use the period and site filters at the top to set the default scope for the dashboard.
Tiles on the board use that period unless a tile is an as-of-today inventory metric (for example open or overdue counts), which ignore the date range.
Add a pre-built chart
The fastest path is a ready-made chart:
1. Select Add chart. 2. Pick a subject area (for example Asset inspections or Audits & flags). 3. Choose a pre-built chart such as Inspections by Week or Inspections by Site. 4. Select Add to dashboard.
The chart appears on your board and the layout saves as you go.
Add a custom chart
When no pre-built chart matches your question, build one:
1. Select Add chart → Add custom chart (wording may vary slightly by subject area). 2. Choose a domain — the type of data (Inspections, Audits, Incidents, Tasks, Schedules, Assets, or Rounds when enabled). 3. Choose a metric — what to measure (Count, Completion rate, Avg. score, and so on). 4. Add one or two attributes — how to group the data (Site, Status, Month, User, …). 5. Optionally add filters so only matching records are included. 6. Pick a chart type (bar, line, donut, table, …) and review the preview. 7. Save the chart onto your dashboard.
Example — completed inspections by site
| Setting | Value |
|---|---|
| Domain | Inspections |
| Metric | Count |
| Attribute | Site |
| Filter | Status = Completed |
| Chart type | Grouped bar |
Arrange your dashboard
- Move a tile by dragging its header. - Resize from the left, right, or bottom edge. - Use Reset to default if you want to clear custom charts and restore the starter layout. - Layout changes save automatically on your personal dashboard.
Common first charts
| Goal | Suggested setup |
|---|---|
| Volume by site | Inspections → Count → Site (filter Completed if you only want finished work) |
| Status mix | Inspections → Count → Status → Donut |
| Weekly trend | Inspections → Count → Week → Line (or the pre-built Inspections by Week) |
| Open audit risk | Audits → Flags raised / open inventory by Severity (pre-built open flags tiles) |
Next steps
- Learn domains, metrics, drill-down, shared dashboards, and export in the Analytics user guide. - Walk through create → add chart → share with sample data in the interactive Analytics tour. - Use subject-area tips inside Add chart to see what each pre-built tile measures.
