Create a template
Build a template, add its questions, and publish it so your team runs the same form each time.

For an asset template, have an asset type ready before you publish. Create incident types or audit types first when the template is for those.
How templates fit together
A template holds sections; each section holds questions; each question has a response type.

Create a template
- Go to Templates → Manage Templates (or Admin → Templates).
- Create a new template, or duplicate an existing one.
- Give it a clear title and choose its kind (Asset, Audit, Incident, or SOP).
Add sections and questions
- Add sections to group related questions (for example Exterior, Safety equipment).
- Add questions as plain field prompts.
- Reorder so the form follows the inspection path.
Response types, logic, and scoring
A response type is how the inspector answers. Text, number, date, checkbox, media, location, and signature are single fields. Multiple choice is a set of options, such as Yes, No, and N/A, saved under Templates → Template Configurations → Response Types.
Enable scoring applies to an asset or audit multiple-choice set. Turn it on, then set Score on each option. Scores stay at 0 or higher. Text, number, date, media, location, and signature do not take a score. A checkbox or slider can take a Max Score when scoring is on for the template.

Turn answers into action
Each multiple-choice option has Actions. What you can choose depends on the response type's inspection type.

Publish
- For an Asset template, choose the Asset Type in the header. Publish stays off until one is selected.
- Select Publish.
- Start an inspection on an asset of that type, or use the matching start path for an audit.
A draft cannot be started. Completed inspections keep the version they were run with.
Limitations
- Incident types are not created in the builder. Choose an existing type, or create types under Template Configurations first.
Frequently asked questions
Can I score a text question?
No. Set Score on the options of an asset or audit multiple-choice response type.
Can an incident answer raise a work order?
No. Incident and SOP options can require a photo or a note. Work comes from an asset option. A flag comes from an audit option.
Can I translate the questions?
Yes. Open the template's translations screen. Your organisation chooses the languages.
