The app will not work offline
Prepare this device while you still have a connection, so Home, inspections, and tasks open after the signal drops.

Work through these checks
- Connect to the internet. Prepare for offline is disabled while you are offline, so this step has to happen before you leave coverage.
- Open My Account and find Offline health. Select Prepare for offline and wait until it finishes.
- Check the rows. Work data saved and Offline app saved should each show Ready. The badge at the bottom should read Ready for offline. Missing, or a badge of Needs preparation, means the device is not ready. Run Prepare for offline again while you are still online.
- Use a normal browser window on your organisation's usual address. A private window does not keep the saved app. The saved pages belong to that address.
- If a site, asset, or inspection was added after the last prepare, it will not be on the device. Reconnect and select Prepare for offline again.
- When the connection drops, open LambdaAssetCheck from the same address. Prepared devices use the offline pages and the data saved locally. Without a successful prepare, those pages are not there and the app cannot open with no signal.
- Queued work waits until you are online again. Sending it is a separate check. See My work is not syncing.
Limitations
- You cannot prepare a device that is already offline. The button stays disabled until the connection returns.
- Private browsing does not keep the offline app between visits.
- Sync now does not prepare the device. It only sends work that is already queued, and only while you are online.
- A site that was not included, or that was not Ready, will not scan or open without internet until you prepare again.
Frequently asked questions
I prepared yesterday and a new asset is missing.
Prepare downloads what existed then. Reconnect and select Prepare for offline again so the new asset and its site are saved.
The panel says Needs preparation after I pressed the button.
Read which row is Missing. Work data saved or Offline app saved still on Missing means the run did not finish. Stay online and select Prepare for offline again. Do not close a private window and expect the save to remain.
Offline pages open, but my last inspection never reached the server.
The device is prepared. The queue has not been accepted yet. Use My work is not syncing.
